What is a storytelling dance?
A storytelling dance is a dance that uses gestures, movement and sometimes facial expressions to show what happens in the story. Stories can be non-fiction or fiction, for example:
“The Legend of the Pineapple.” It’s a Filipino folktale, about a girl, named Pina. Her mother would tell her to do household chores, but she refused and made excuses to avoid doing her obligations, to the point her mom wished she had thousands of eyes. Her wish came true, so Pina became a pineapple with thousands of eyes. Moral of the story, is not be lazy and being obedient to your mom.

The Legend of The Pineapple (Video)
My group and I, did the story telling dance “The Legend of The Pineapple” The characters were Rice Farmer, Rice Farmer 2, the Daughter, Shooting star, Friend and the Mum.
The rice farmers were skipping around, the mum and daughter were arguing in circles, the friend was playing with the daughter, the shooting star jumped and leaped on the daughter, and posed as a pineapple.
